Who are we?
Nazareth Lutheran Early Learning is a Community-based Long day care Childcare Centre located in Woolloongabba, near the Brisbane CBD and Southbank parklands. We provide care for up 44 children per day from 6 weeks to five years of age.
At Nazareth LELC we believe all children can embrace who they are, can define their future, and can change the world.
Our MISSION at Nazareth Lutheran Early Learning Centre is:
-
It’s about relationships—not programs! To develop a culture of building positive relationships and being intentional about creating opportunities for those relationships to be shaped and guided by the Phoenix Cups Framework (Sandi Phoenix).
-
To provide high quality care in a safe, inclusive, spiritual, social and educational environment.
-
Create aesthetically pleasing and natural play-based environments which promote a sense of belonging for all children, educators, families and the wider community.
-
To acknowledge children's voices at the core of the learning process where children are given opportunity to follow individual interests and develop skills through a child-led approach.
-
To see each child as unique and to support exploration of their individual learning styles within the service programs.
-
To capture and share each child's unique learning journey through Xplor (online app and web platform), interactive floor books, displayed emergent curriculums and individual art folios!

At Nazareth LELC we VALUE:
-
Respectful partnerships with families. We recognise that practices, values and beliefs are unique to each child and their family and honour this diversity through the shape of our curriculums within the service.
-
Meaningful intergenerational experiences that are intentional and valued. Intergenerational relationships in the Nazareth community nurture important connections between generations.
-
As early childhood professionals we recognise each other as individuals and are united by our shared beliefs and goals when working with children and families within our Nazareth community.
-
The upheld principles of the Lutheran ethos which guide us to integrate God's word into our daily routines, devotions, celebrations, attitudes and relationships.
-
The right for children to access high-quality outdoor play and to be able to immerse themselves in the natural world whilst exploring an array of different materials.
-
Allowing children uninterrupted play that supports their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength.

Our VISION at Nazareth LELC is:
-
To support and engage each child's lifelong love of learning.
-
To continue to develop and re-define future and current community programs designed to create social settings that influence learning.
-
To create an ongoing awareness with our families to ensure we present programs within our service that reflect the needs and expectations of the culture and community in which we are present.
-
To create strong rituals within the service to create a distinct culture that invites children and families to participate in something meaningful with others that underpins our daily practices and upholds the United Nations Rights of the Child.
